Here we have Peter Xi, Chairman and CEO, VINNO Ultrasound talking about how the VINNO ultrasound systems will create ripples across the ultrasound market space. Excerpts from an interview:

How accepting or resisting is the Indian ultrasound market to new companies?

Indian Ultrasound market is highly progressive with a potential of over 20 percent growth per annum. Though traditionally, markets were polarized towards major brands from the western world and Japan, it's now opening up to solution from other countries such as Korea, China etc, as long as these companies meet the highest benchmark of quality set by the Indian customers.

As most of the manufacturing companies have understood the importance of technological advancement, image quality, robustness, software innovations, application requirements etc, they are rolling out products which match or surpass customer expectations.

Indian market is one of the most mature markets in the world, and it's safe to say that if the product is a success in India, then the success can be replicated all over the world.

Indian customers are constantly looking at innovation and quality, and if acompany can innovate and offer the highest quality, the Indian customers would welcome it with open arms.

VINNO has very powerful innovative R&D team, who plan to work with Indian customers very closely, listen their needs and create new tools, features for them. We can promise our customers, that we will provide innovative solutions on a quarterly basis if they have new idea and request.

We do have innovation partnership program globally to collect all good ideasfrom our customers. We will implement those ideas on our systems, to make customers not only as users but also innovators. We warmly welcome customers from India to join this program.

With its launch recently, what is VINNO offering its potential customers in India?

We can even go to the extent of saying that each user can configure his own personal ultrasound.

What is the unique selling point of VINNO ultrasound systems?

State-of-the-art, first of its kind platform used in an ultrasound/color Doppler system and dedicated system for women's health imaging. VINNO allows all RF signals for computing which is over 40 times of data size than current USG use. The direct clinical benefit will be the full screen view and a fantastic zoom. We mention this as critical NT measurements and Doppler measurements of ductus venosus etc., are crucial applications which rely on extremely good image quality and a high quality write zoom.

Also, it offers very high quality 3D/4D rendering, one-touch solution 3D/4D operation, Super resolution volume imaging technology, and spinoffs of 4D technologies, such as free view (Omniview), inversion techniques, tomographic imaging,Vocal, STIC etc. We have a linear probe which can go as high as 18 MHz, which can make a fantastic value addition inmusculoskeletal imaging.

With the incorporation of advanced technology how does your company maintain a balance between cost and quality?

VINNO stands for affordable luxury. Imaging specialists seek better workflow, image quality and reliability over time and again. VINNO exceeds their expectations.

A company's success also depends upon its after sales service. How will you provide your customers with the best service support?

VINNO is very conscious that the service delivery is most important aspect that has to be given the number one priority. We have already ensured that there are adequate spares stocked in India, to save on down time.

Further, India is represented by DEHealthcare Pvt Ltd, which has a pan India presence, and is a company which is close to two decades in operation. DEHC based in Chennai is managed by its CEO M Balasubramanian, who has more than 25 years of ultrasound experience in top management levels with multinational companies.

What will be your marketing strategy to penetrate the Indian ultrasound market with its existing players?

The basic mantra of fantastic aesthetics, great IQ and excellent workflow backed up by best in class after sales service and up by best in class after sales service and to. Moreover, industry-academia partner ship, live workshops, etc are few marketing strategies to promote and penetrate the market.

How does the company view government regulations in India?

VINNO strongly respects the law of the land, and will ensure that all protocols are adhered to in its operation in India. It will also audit the PNDT process from time to time.
